Flintstones, Freelancing, and Freedom
It all started with a flintstone coloring book. Well, that was part of it.
I love working with words as a toddler I am told that I could create the most outrageous stories with fascinating characters.
I remember the lined paper and freshly sharpened pencils, the fat ones, as I began 1st grade. Perhaps one of the best days of my young life.
I learned to write the words I had in my head and never stopped.
The biggest challenge was my hand wouldn’t move as my thoughts. Every report card for most of my school years included a note; “handwriting needs improvement”.
It still does. It will not likely ever get better.
Fred Flinstone was running off the page as I tried to color him in the lines. He wouldn’t be still. He was running off the page with my ideas. It was the beginning of a story.
That day my young writing career was launched in the cardboard Swiss Miss branded fort in the middle of our living room.
I began writing some pretty terrible poetry. I loved every line, but the poetry club I started under the monkey bars was my pride and joy.
Fast forward a few decades and I’m still writing. My handwriting is still terrible. It is not likely to ever improve. But my much-improved poetry has been published a time or two. I discovered journalistic writing and essays.
My passion has grown exponentially as I have discovered new stories to write.
I know that not everyone enjoys writing. Perhaps you are one of many who hate it. And that is okay. Now you know me. I can write your story.
Together we can get your message out. You, your business, your story do not need to be invisible.
I am ready to help your business be seen, be remembered. When you are ready, let’s get started.
